Consumers Should Not Use Unauthorized Products To Enhance Male Sexual Performance
Health Canada is warning consumers not to use Firm Dose and Granite Rooster, two products promoted to enhance male sexual performance, as these products may pose serious health risks. Firm Dose was found to contain an undeclared pharmaceutical ingredient similar to the prescription drug sildenafil, while the product Granite Rooster was found to contain an undeclared pharmaceutical ingredient similar to the prescription drug tadalafil. These drugs should only be used under the supervision of a health care professional.

Researchers Discover How To Halt Prostate Cancer Spread
There is a new breakthrough in search for prostate cancer treatment. Following three years of study, University of Southern California researchers have found a way to halt the spread of prostate cancer. Suppression of the GRP78 protein, a genetic biomarker of aggressive prostate cancer, leads researchers to what they consider a "breakthrough" in cancer research. Amy Lee, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, the study's principal investigator, says, "This research has far-reaching implications in a wide range for human cancers,"

Undeclared Drug Ingredients Found In Sexual Dysfunction Managing Product
The Hong Kong Department of Health (DH) appealed to people not to buy or use a product called "Zhuang Tjar Gere" for managing sexual dysfunction.
A spokesman for the department said the product was found to have contained undeclared drug ingredients that may cause serious side effects.
He said the department received a report concerning a 79-year-old man who fainted and injured his chest on October 25. He was admitted to Yan Chai Hospital on October 29 and was discharged on November 15.
