What Will Women Give Up For Skin Health?
As the classic saying goes, "You can never be too rich or too thin." However, it seems American women would rather look younger than be rich or thin. A recent poll commissioned by ZO Skin Health and reveals that on average, women would be willing to spend more on a facial care system that would make them look 10 years younger than they would on a diet program that would make them lose 10 pounds.
The survey, which was conducted among 1,131 U.S. adult women by Harris Interactive, reported how much women care about the overall health and condition of their skin, particularly their face.

Facial Scars Increase Attractiveness
Men with facial scars are more attractive to women seeking short-term relationships, scientists at the University of Liverpool have found.
It was previously assumed that in Western cultures scarring was an unattractive facial feature and in non-Western cultures they were perceived as a sign of maturity and strength. Scientists at Liverpool, however, have found that Western women find scarring on men attractive and may associate it with health and bravery.

Hairspray Linked To Common Genital Birth Defect
Hairspray is linked to common genital birth defect, says study.
Women who are exposed to hairspray in the workplace during pregnancy have more than double the risk of having a son with the genital birth defect hypospadias, according to a new study published today in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives.
The study is the first to show a significant link between hairspray and hypospadias, one of the most common birth defects of the male genitalia, where the urinary opening is displaced to the underside of the penis. The causes of the condition are poorly understood.
