The popular saying "diamonds are a girl’s best friend" took on new meaning this week, when a research team announced the development of a diamond studded drug patch that may one day aid in cancer treatment. While all test subjects identified 95% of the hidden images, those who felt they lacked control also "saw" images in 43% of the pictures that had none.

A new analysis of cereals sold in the US found that many brands, especially those marketed to children, are actually more than 50% sugar by weight and contain as much sugar as a glazed doughnut. Many of these brands have also boosted the sugar and sodium content of formulations sold on US markets, while the same cereals in other countries contain less of these ingredients.
